Hard to go wrong with LCC. I'd look at redeye optoins coming back, gives you a pretty cheep extra day. Jackson/Tahoe/colo/Mammoth etc. all involve a rental car and much more expensive flights on the whole.
BTW Bigfoot in the house. talk about throwback

+1 for Aspen, especially if you can go the week of the X-Games. Airport is 10-20 minutes from most lodging and you don't need a car. Staying in the town of Aspen is definitely worth the expense as everything you could possibly need is in a five block area. Make sure you check the town calendar for events going on that week before you book, (gay ski week is usually the week before the X-Games). If you do watch the games at night make sure to have warm socks and shoes as it gets very cold standing around. Also make a b-line for the buses to get back into town near the end of the last event of the night, usually the most popular event, because the wait lines can get long.

Depends on the year but having everything in Tahoe within an hour or so's drive of one another is pretty appealing.

Sideways Monoskiers.
Easy Trip-It's hard to beat SLC area for a quickie
Money No Object-Jackson or Aspen would get my vote but I would wait until early January to book to see which one has better conditions, honorable mention to Vail/Beaver Creek; fly into Eagle, Vail Village has everything you could ever want, the mountain is huge and you have Beaver Creek if you really think you've explored all of Vail in 2 days
