I am not trying to be a pain in the *** but even I know that the roll is one of the most likely avy slopes at BP
I know CO you had partners and gear but it's just so funny -- if I do Hoop Creek alone I will probably be slammed

Everytime I check into NOAA front range forecasts are more and more promising -- my trip is looking a little better
BTW about the Roll is one that frequently slides doesn't it, or maybe the incidents have just been bad when it did?
CAIC is online with full forecasts again I see

Yeah the forecast is definatley looking better as the days go by so why not give it a try. The resorts won't have a ton open but each little storm back to back (three coming up) will build the base up so the backcountry will get better without completely loading the crap out of the snow pack so maybe the avy danger won't go off the charts.
About the roll, yes there are two good convexities on it but over the years I've noticed it mainly (not implying always) slides to lookers left up slope of the little knol with trees on it frequently, I don't ski that. The avy danger was low to moderate and we dug a pit near the beginning of the run (top of the aspect) and it was holding up well with no cracking or whoomping on the way up so we went one at a time and had some fun turns. I'm not a huge risk taker just like to ski good snow when conditions are safer. Risks are always there but we try to be as safe as possible for sure, I've got a family so got to play it safe, no hero shi* for this semi old guy. PM me when you come out if I could meet you out for some runs.
