The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

the oz lift broke down for about an hr @ the end of the day on pres day or the week after, i can't remember. beech comped everyone on the lift plus they comped all the people @ the bottom waiting to get on the lift (no outlet to the base). season pass holders got free draft beer for the rest of the night ;), not. one guy was prepared with a backpack full of pbr's as we waited. just shows you beech is a customer friendly place to ski or ride.

I agree but I don't see that happening.

I was really dissapointed that the power went out. I wanted to head over there before we left sunday, so our afternoon go cut short. Oh well guess that means i need to get back there before they close up....

sounds to me like you just like bashing sugar. How about Beech? every time I go up and they want to load 4 to a chair on the quad and there are only a handful of people there I think I should get a rebate.

I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for another person. Besides, who likes to ride up by themselves.

i don't think he's bashing sugar. i've never heard of anyone being comped by sugar for a breakdown of the lift. maybe they have. maybe their lift doesn't break down. i don't know. everyone has their favorite place to ski. your's = sugar. mine = beech. i've personally never had a problem with sugar, but most people tend to say that when times are busy and things go wrong the place is less sympathetic to help. as far as the 4 to load, it's only when the wind is kick'n @ a high speed. it's for your safety.

I didn't make it over there. We were thinking of heading over to silver creek because of the crowds at the lifts. Just then they opened the grabhammer lift and nobody was there. We made run after run with no wait in line.
