Awesome stuff, its going to be fun to follow your adventures, maybe even make it to Utah.

So the binding broke but the skis ok -- it doesn't look like it tore out of the mounting holes -- new heel piece?

WOW, that is a failure mode I have yet to see in a pair of Dukes or Barons. If I were you I would send Marker a pic and see if they will warranty a new heelpiece. Also, post up your story/pics on TGR and see if anyone in the canyon/valley can hook you up in short order. If you can't find a hookup on shop work to get them fixed, send me a PM.

Davidski- you are correct. The mounting was fine and nothing tore out of the ski, it was a failure on the, not really sure what its called but the pic says it all.

EC- I did make a thread, I'm going to try to get a new one through marker. If im sol I'll send you a pm. Thanks for wanting to help out. Its killing me not being able to use the bg's. I went over the handle bars like 3 times today on the s3's. BG's just make pow sooooo much more fun. The BC looks incredible today too.

I talked to the guys at the GMD ski shop today and they seemed to think that I could replace just the heelpiece since it slides on a track... I must get this resolved soon. Its seriously driving me crazy not being able to use the BG's right now. Maybe its good though, I have hit A LOT of rocks the last 3 days....

Today there was about 8 inches of fresh. It was much lighter snow than yesterday. I got out and did 3 laps on wildcat then took a run off the high T which was nice, hit rocks though. Took one more lap on the high T and did some uphill sidestepping from the top of collins and took it to the goods.

Where is this?

The answer is simple; finding the untracked pow! 11:30 a.m. on a weekend pow day at Alta? unpossible
