The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.
We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.
We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

3/28 /13 Roadside snowboarding in Highland County Va
I always thought that Monterey would be a great place for a ski area. Nice mountains and pretty good snowfall. In reality, it's probably in a hole that is too much further than WG and MN, but not enough closer than SS or CV. I have heard that Highland county has the highest average elevation in the East. Thanks for the pics.

Edited the original post and added the double shack sequence.
Its been a little over a week since this day and the dust has started to settle and the reality of the last few weeks has started to hit. Simply amazing month of March!
Pagamony the Mtn .range of this TR is the last to really get the effects of the Lake effect machine. Its only about 45 minutes from Snowshoe and a little over an hr from Canaan.
Skipanther hiking for turns in deep snow makes it that more satisfying .Dropping in while out of breath and getting pitted on the side of the road of Virginia in over 2 ft of powder is something Ill never forget.Especially in late March.
