The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.
We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

Heck me and skizer and some friends went yesterday and it was BOMBER!!!! Rail jam was pretty lame though IMO... actually MEGA lame.... but hey... the company made up for it....

sounds like some people REALLY REALLY love BEECH MTN. like its there girlfriend or something!!! ha TannerP can stay in Cornelius jenkins where ever that is??? sounds pretty lame to me! and eleven04rails doesnt know crap cause he's in charlotte! enjoy that traffic buddy!!! this thread was for the people that havent been to beech or for peps wondering about cond. there! as for kenDOUCH... the point of this was that I dont think BEECH should be able to get away with lying to people on there website to get money from people that dont know any better. I speak the truth people im sorry if you dont like it! BEECH SUCKS!!! anyway you slice it beech sucks! go to sugar for turns and APP. for park and jumps! end of story!

As I am still a beginner to intermediate skiier and have been to each beech and sugar one time I can say the following. I thought the staff at beech had more mercy for those of us beginning out, if you stayed within your skill level. If you fell at the top of the mountain getting off the lift everytime then yes they would ask that you practice on the smaller slopes first (understandable). I liked how beech felt more open and wasn't as "tight" in certain areas.
I liked sugars magic carpet for the wife to learn on and the ski school beginner area. The staff at Sugar had a little chip on their shoulder and I found them a little more rude than at beech. Of course that could be one or two people but it did leave an impression.
I plan on skiing both again, however if given a choice I would most likely choose Beech.
