The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

I have skied it (cherry bowl) in deep snow two years ago but I was out of my depth. The owners chose to sell some prime timber there (reasonable decision) but let them leave the tops and trash, making it impassable/impossible. This is my understanding based on tourist information.

But as I say, I have skied it before and I know for a fact that some clearing has been done.

Cherry Bowl (at Timberline) borders the Forest Service Land. There are two distinctly different entrances, just to the East of Off the Wall. Looking on a trail map, look to your left.

Cherry Bowl was skiable 5 days so far this season. It was seriously pretty sweet. Keep in mind that there are 2 new Gladed areas - we are just waiting on more natural stuff to fall from the sky.

There is a part of Timberline that was sold to the Wildlife Refuge. That would be Western territory which was fantastic for backcountry skiing.

I skied it today, it did seem thinned out, lots of nice open areas hidden here and there, not too steep and a little short since it essentially shortcuts the big turn in Salamander.
