The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

The snow was absolutely blower, there were only a few turns where I DIDN'T get a faceshot. 20 inches of fluff on top of a smooth dense snow bed=stupid deep. Wildcat was insane. Everything was insane today. Pretty much speechless.

Nothing better than an over-the-head Wasatch day. GET SUM!

Glad to hear you are living the dream, Walker.

Yes today was the deepest day of my life, it was deeper than yesterday. Supreme opened today for the first time since Sunday. It was totally untracked, and chest deep in places. I've never choked on snow before. I took the cecret saddle to get over there from Sugarloaf and it was pure faceshots if I was skiing faster than jogging speed, not even turning. Eagles nest was absurd as well. I got on the 30th or 40th collins chair this morning and took a run down stone crusher trees then went to eagles nest. The snow was so deep I didn't need to make many turns just to keep up my speed; it was truly bottomless. I didn't know what bottomless is before today. When you're skiing along and go into a pocket of deep where you just keep sinking and the only thing keeping you up is fat skis and speed. The keyhole was insane today as well since it didn't open yesterday. Looking down into completely untracked trees covered in bottomless blower snow was pretty special. I can't believe how much it snows out here. We will be at 50% of the average snowfall before new years. They are calling for another foot tonight and tomorrow. LCC is on track for a 700+ inch year.

pics in a few minutes. I will have some shots of me skiing soon, my roommate just got here and he has an slr and one of my co-workers bf's is here and he skis with an slr.

I've been here for 2 weeks exactly. I've skied everyday since and I'm feeling pretty beat up. I keep waiting for a day where I can just rest and not feel like I'm missing out on powder. That day just hasn't happened yet...

Ok here are some pics from the last two days, again I apologize there are no action shots. I'm working on getting some.

A shot from yesterday after skiing, Rustler Lodge looking pretty buried

my engineering skills at work: the stairs I dug out to get out the door

I'm in love with these skis

I shoveled the deck last night and it was totally bare when I went to bed. Shoveling the deck was a nightmare. The bottom 25 inches of snow was super dense and heavy as crap. This morning it had another foot and it was still dumping

The keyhole this afternoon

A beautiful thing

Wintry in little cottonwood

Alta requires everyone to dig their car out after each storm. Yes, my car is under there....somewhere

Thats better
