Last Sunday went to Beech for the mountain bike races. There was a lot going on, a kite festival, crafts and live music in the meadow and the bike races and lift rides on Beech.

The Kite festival as we drove by (Bultaco would not stop - it would mess up his time table )

From the lift looking down Freestyle and White Lightning

The leaves are begining to change

The races began at the top of Upper Shawneehaw, went down White Lightning, then up into the woods between WL and OZ and then down across WL under the lift and into the woods between WL and Southern Star comimg out on Lower WL back up into the woods and finishing in the PlayYard.

The kite festival taken from the Gazebo

Pink Jr and friend spent the whole day ridding the lift up and down the mountain

While everyone else watched the races, Bultaco spent his time inspecting the water and air lines.

Mountain boarding was also available on Freestyle and in the new park. The park is under the beginner lifts 3 & 4 and would be a nice addition for a winter park but I did have a chance to speak with Rhyno and he said that the main difficulty in implementing that would be the size is so small that getting a gun in would be a challenge and the Cat will not be able fit in to groom so it would have to be hand groomed and that is a lot of man hours.

Very nice Pink. Some of those lines under the lifts look enticing with covered in snow.:)

Nice video. My pictures really couldn't do it justice. Everybody seemed to be having fun (except those who had big crashes). :D

Can't say that I blame him for not stopping at the kite festival.

We did stop at the kite festival, best wind (no pun intended) yet in the 7 years running. Little Wryter let go of his string (Ugh!) and we watched his kite float over the top of beech and off into oblivion! Anyway, great TR AND it was worth it to stop at the festival! :p

What did his kite look like? We saw that happen to one while we were on the lift.

Looks like Beech has had alot going on, hopefully this spills over into the winter and they continue the improvements they started last season.
