The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

With last nights fresh snow and cold temps all day I was itching to get back on the slopes tonight. Work was good to me this week, and I was at the quad at beech by 6pm. Great conditions out there tonight. The guns, fog and wind were mild, and the snow was in great shape. I don't recall finding any icy spots. Visibility was low at the top of beech, especially in the path of guns, but nothing dangerous. White Lightning was in the some of the best shape i've seen this season: just really smooth groomers that softened up but never iced. It was not crowded at all, and the lift lines were negligible except one point where the quad had stopped for a few minutes. Got some more pictures tonight cause I was slacking last night:

In search of some variety, I left at 8:25 and arrived at sugar at 8:45. The fog and wind were not as bad at sugar, but there were a lot more icy spots. Sugar REALLY needs to put up some lights on tom terrific to divert traffic and keep icy spots from being exposed. It was still in really good shape though. I lapped the top to the half as many times as I could before they closed. Overall at both resorts, crowds were low and snow was great. Come on weekend snowstorm!

I like the first shot. The boards and the jackets really pop with the night colors.

Makes perfect sense as it appeared to be a road and it is for the cats.
