Went up Sunday for some big mountain skiing at App. Slept in slightly, hit the slopes at about 10:17am.
Looking up Apple Core and Apple Slice from the lift
And finally made it to the house at the top of the lift ride
Backside bowls were looking fresh, avy danger was high so I didn't drop in
Decisions, decisions...
Left to the exclusive park (if the bouncer lets you in), right for the blue run
I had VIP status so it was all cool (LOL snowboarder)
ROFL snowboarder OMG LOL
Ridin down Big Apples, soft snow on the ground
Lookin up Big Appal on the right, Appaljack park to the left. Racin going on towards the center of the photo.
Lookin back up towards apple Orchard Run on the left, AppalJam park to the right
New learning area Avery's Appal complete with magic carpet lift
Strudel from the bottom
Big Appal again from the lift
Hot lap through the Appaltop progression park and down Big Appal
And what's a TR without at least one yardsale
Base of the mountain sometime around 2:00pm, the three lifts had no lines to speak of
Had to cut it short to get back to the queen city by 5. Flex ticket worked out to get me my $10 card for next time. Hated to leave but I had to.
Some peeps enjoying the Ice Skatering
Lot looking fairly empty for 2:30 in the afternoon
Almost there
Car all packed up and ready to go, time to say goodbye to this godzilla of a mountain
Thought my other videos uploaded but just found out they didn't quite finish, I'll update with some more park pics once those get through.

No I called her, just not while the camera was on, I didn't want to obstruct the view accidentally

UPDATING with some park pics from 2/13
Appaltop progression park
Appaljam
This corrugated pipe got moved to the middle of the slope later, these two pics were taken on the flatter traverse to the park
First tier
Second tier - I heard this jump was used for the big air comp not too long ago? I still think it's bigger than it looks in the pictures.
^^^ Was the biggest jump I've probably been off of, and the hardest I've cased short of the knuckle. You need some proof? OK. Fast forward to about 0:55 (I actually hit harder the first time, didn't have the camera out for that one though)
Third tier - propane tank with third jump in the background
Appaljack

Nice job, lots of good pics. Good idea to not venture into the backcountry.
