The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

here's another one. I haven't boated since mid september so I was a little....excited hiking down to the put-in. The line was horrendous I think every boater decided to head for the stairs at the same time. The line started at the top of the stairs...******. Took about 45 mins. Put-in rapid is a little pesky at 500 release days. Lots of FU rocks and weird squiggles that sent me way offline. All was good though I kept it upright as I was side surfed along the main hump.

I've been contemplating center line at oceana for a while and I pulled the trigger on it today. I figured I would be freaked out by it any given day but I felt I could make the move. It's funny how I had a gameplan before I rolled over the lip, but once I accelerated down the slide it was all reactionary. Didn't have much time to think it through, it just kind of happened. I got turned around in the pool before the thing and ran the last part backwards. The hole at the bottom kept me for a few seconds but it wasn't bad. Felt like a champ at the bottom! A good line down oceana goes a long way for the rest of the run especially after no boating for a while. Rest of the run was bomber until I got pushed left into the big rock at tom's brainbuster and didn't open my edge enough and got flipped going into the brainbuster part of Tom's. I kept it tucked and was thanful for a full face. Rolled up no problem and everything else was good.

It's a bush. Tallulah is one of the many many excellent SE rivers that have been dammed and dewatered. Trees start to grow in the river bed when its dry for 350 days/year
