The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

I will say this, I had first chair yesterday morning and 8 inches was pretty legit. Everything got tracked out and packed down quickly though. See my TR and rant here.

Nights out there are absolutely terrible. The past two seasons most of my riding out there was at night and it sucked. The lack of lighting and icy conditions was so bad. I'm so glad that I get to ride days now, even if it is on the weekends.
WOOOOOO!

Wow, I guess I've been grumpy at ol' Gunther for these years, and it wasn't even all his fault. LOL
Think snowmaking temps.

You don't say what gear was stolen or if it was yours. Interestingly enough, there was a thread about this the same time last year http://www.skinorthcarolina.com/message ... ght=Stolen and you ranted about exactly the same thing. I recommended using a lock.

Would you leave your gear in the backseat of your unlocked car during Christmas season and then blame the mall for lack of security? There are opportunist everywhere. Just because people share a love of snow sports doesn't mean you trust them.

Two words. Personal responsibility.

There could be a security guard sitting right there and someone have their board/skis walked off with because you know the security guard isn't going to remember who owns everything that's left out there...

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks the night lighting sucks.
