Friends.
As you may have heard, SirSeniorShlarpyShutzzaLot, has stopped posting, no reasons were given by those close to him, probably because no one seemed to be close to him aside from his online side kick ShuttzaLotToo!!
Many of us followed SirSenior from his early days helping found important regional empires which he heroically abandoned when endless newbies just weren't core enough. The Shlarpster made a point, speak my lingo or take a hike, they didn't , but he proudly did.
ShuttzaLot did his time across the wireless domain, a swivel chair warrior who bravely called out Cody Townsend's couloir techniques on TGIR (Thank God I'm Rad) a critique that spawned 72 pages of mindless chatter. But, Shuttz was equally at home offering kindly tips on toe corn trimming techniques and thoughtful videos of falling leaf exercises for the now defunct but widely loved Epochal.
What is less known is the invaluable drivel that the Shlarp purveyed on sites that he and several old time friends founded, let fail, and founded again. SirSeniorShlarpyShutzzaLot may not have seen a backcountry hut or smokeshack but his password online clubhouse was inspirational to a few.
It is a sad day, and we have lost a significant digital presence; but I like to think that if we have the courage, vision and necessary bandwidth (talking to you Ajit Pai) that we can overcome the loss of our virtual friend.
The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.
We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

Message boards are the Chat rooms and forums of the early web.... now dead.... hopefully not like the ski season in the SE this year.

I guess I am going to start a twitter account and some other social media crap as I will probably be writing more this year but i'm not overly pleased about it. I have an instagram account somewhere, I guess I could start there .... bleh
