Wow you got my picture. I on the second chair in the red coat in your last pic.
Yeah the snow boarders were insane just sitting around. I just don't understand why they pay money to sit around and wait for one little jump or trick. Learn how to carve your way down the hill. It would have been much better had they not put those jumps on lower appal.

Whoever was up there today should have stayed for night session. Guns going, countless speed runs, and walked right up to the lift every time.

Kim and I went yesterday and got there about 10:45 from Raleigh. It was terrible. We're still beginners, but how the hell can we learn with all the idiots sitting on their butts on the bunny hill? We're both boarders, but when we get off the carpet we strap in and GO. And it wasn't just kids either; there were grown parents with their kids. They'd walk in front of us and stop, then they'd talk for 5 minutes in a group before they'd go. Then, these punk kids kept riding straight up to the front of the lift line and cutting everyone. When I told them to wait in line like everyone else 1 said, "Aw man, are you serious?" YES dammit, that's the definition of a line. And when Kim told the liftie they ran like sissy girls. Even 1 kid cut the entire line right in front of his parents and they didn't seem to care. It's really sad that parents don't teach their kids the most basic lessons of honesty and not cheating. It didn't get better until after 3pm and then we only had less than an hour to make some turns. All in all, I'm happy that I was on the snow again but seriously disappointed in App employees for doing nothing after I'd ask the same people every single time I'd pass them to do something about the lines going almost all the way across to the overhead lifts, linejumpers and idiot gapers. I won't be going back on a weekend, that's for sure. I'll drive the extra 1+ hours to Winterplace or Wintergreen. I woulda been pissed if I'd paid full price for lift tickets.

All I see is boarders there, any skiers? Snow looks nice though...
App is a boarders paradise....
I got a joke for you.
Q: 3 snowboarders are riding in a car who is driving?
A: Neither, the cop is.....
hahaha, seriously though, sitting in the middle of the slope sucks for everyone. Why is all I ask?
I thought it would be the parents!

Well, it was only a $10 lesson for both of us to learn the hard way. Are there any places on the weekends that aren't insane like this? We'll be coming from Raleigh and likely a 4hr drive will be out limit.

The key is to be there early. That's at any of the resorts. On weekends it's usuall OK up until about 1-1:30. Then all the vacationers who have stayed up late the night before and sleep in, come in for twilight.
